Staying with Nana
I am so grateful that my schedule is flexible enough that I will often get to watch you while your mom is at work.
Aunt Adelaide moved out of our house and into her own apartment about 5 weeks ago. Aunt Lila then moved into her bedroom. And that left this bedroom open for me to turn into a nursery/guest bedroom. Here is what it looked like when Lila moved her things out.

And this is how it turned out…

I’m pretty much more prepared to take care of you than I was for my own children. I guess that’s one of the perks of being older. I think the room is darling. By the time you see this someday as an adult, you will probably laugh at how outdated it is.
Yesterday was your mom’s first day of work. Here you are together before she had to leave.

Although she knew that you were in good hands and she is excited for her nursing job that she had worked so hard for, she was very sad about leaving you. She cried a lot the night before. But the day went well.
Your dad was working from home so you stayed with him until I came to pick you up after going to my CrossFit. I was there about 9:45am and then brought you over here. We had such a happy and peaceful time.

We read books, played, ate, slept…you even were able to fall asleep in your new crib!

You also took a nap in my arms because I didn’t want to put you down.

Today I’m not watching you because I was working in the temple. But I get to have you again tomorrow. I’m so happy! I love spending any time I can with you!
